Within ING's Regional Restructuring Unit Netherlands (RRU NL), we are looking for a Restructuring & Recovery Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to combine analytical expertise, stakeholder management and strategic thinking to create sustainable solutions in an environment that values collaboration, learning and innovation.

The Team

RRU NL is part of the Risk organization within ING Bank Netherlands. Our mission is to support clients experiencing financial challenges by identifying sustainable solutions that create value for both our customers and ING. We continuously improve the way we work by learning from experience, embracing innovation and strengthening our capabilities. Collaboration, professionalism and continuous development are at the heart of our team culture.

Your role

Together with other Restructuring & Recovery Specialists, you work in a sector-focused team responsible for Business Banking and Private Banking clients with credit exposures ranging from € 1 million to € 20 million. You ensure clear, accurate and timely written records of analyses, decisions and agreements. This includes high-quality internal documentation and professional written communication with clients, advisers and other external stakeholders.

As a part of a restructuring or recovery process, you advise and report on appropriate loan loss provisioning in compliance with the legal and regulatory frameworks to safeguard the reputation of ING and minimize financial costs for the bank. Where needed, you support projects related to (regulatory) reporting on the non-performing loan portfolio or other relevant projects. And you contribute to Lessons Learned presentations in- and outside RRU NL. In addition, you contribute to change initiatives, continuous improvement efforts and actively explore how AI and other digital tools can improve analysis, documentation, knowledge sharing and the efficiency and quality of restructuring and recovery processes.
