· Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Dangerous Goods and Restricted Commodities, providing guidance on the safe transportation of regulated and restricted shipments.
· Advise and support managers, operations teams, DG Coordinators, and internal and external stakeholders on regulatory requirements, including ICAO Technical Instructions, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, GACAR Part 109, DHL policies, and certification standards.
· Ensure compliance with ICAO Technical Instructions, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, GACAR Part 109, and DHL Global Standard Operating Procedures.
· Plan, deliver, and maintain Dangerous Goods training programs, conduct competency assessments, manage certification records, and support capability development for certified employees within the assigned province.
· Act as the primary Dangerous Goods compliance contact for operational, customer, and regulatory matters.
· Lead audit, assurance, and incident management activities, including Restricted Commodities Incident Reports (RCIR), Dangerous Goods Occurrence Reports (DGOR), and other regulatory reporting requirements.
· Conduct Dangerous Goods self-assessments, lead internal audits, coordinate regulatory inspections, and drive corrective and preventive action plans.
· Perform customer compliance assessments and provide recommendations regarding Dangerous Goods account approvals.
· Monitor compliance performance, identify emerging risks and trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen safety and regulatory compliance.
· Build and maintain effective working relationships with regulatory authorities, customers, and internal stakeholders.
· Ensure ongoing audit readiness and adherence to all applicable safety, security, and compliance requirements.
· Perform any additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the direct manager.
