The Restoration Technician plays a key role in restoring homes affected by fire or flood, ensuring customers can safely return to their properties as quickly and confidently as possible. The role focuses on delivering high-quality mitigation, restoration, and customer care that supports insurer expectations and provides a smooth, reassuring experience for affected homeowners.

  • Accurate and Insightful Damage
    Assessment:

Assess the extent and type of
fire or water damage to enable clear, accurate restoration decisions.

  • Efficient and Effective
    Restoration Planning:

Develop and deliver safe and
practical restoration plans to ensure a smooth and prompt handover to
reinstatement team.

  • High-Standard Water and Fire
    Mitigation:

Perform mitigation tasks such
as water extraction, wet and contaminated material strip-out, soot decontamination,
and drying equipment setup.

  • Clean, Safe, and Habitable
    Environments:

Complete decontamination,
sanitising, deodorising, and debris removal to restore safe conditions of
properties.

  • Clear, Accurate Documentation:

Maintain a detailed log of
works completed including recording accurate moisture readings, update
insurance systems, produce floorplans, and support claim processes.

  • Positive and Supportive
    Customer Experience:

Communicate clearly with
customers, adjusters, and colleagues, providing reassurance and updates.

  • Consistent Safety and
    Compliance Adherence:

Follow safety protocols and
PPE requirements, ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements for Role

  • Full clean manual driving
    license
  • Experience within flood and
    fire restoration
  • BMDA and / or IICRC
    certifications (desirable)
