Restoration Crew Lead

SERVPRO of Rock County

Pay Range: $18-$21/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, plus rotating on-call responsibilities

A day in the life of a Restoration Crew Lead at Servpro

As a Restoration Crew Lead, you'll be responsible for leading restoration projects throughout Rock County while helping customers recover from water, fire, mold, storm, and other property damage events.

Your day may begin by meeting your crew at the shop, reviewing the schedule, loading equipment, and heading to a residential or commercial loss. Once on site, you'll communicate with customers, assess the scope of work, assign tasks to technicians, and ensure all work is completed safely and according to SERVPRO standards.

Throughout the day, you'll perform and oversee water mitigation, demolition, equipment setup, moisture monitoring, documentation, and customer communication. You'll work closely with Project Managers to keep projects moving forward while ensuring technicians have the tools, guidance, and support they need to be successful.

This role requires someone who is comfortable leading a team, making decisions in the field, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in challenging situations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead restoration technicians on residential and commercial restoration projects
  • Perform water mitigation, fire and smoke cleanup, mold remediation, biohazard cleanup, and storm damage restoration services
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding project progress and expectations
  • Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and specialty equipment
  • Perform demolition and mitigation activities as needed
  • Complete moisture readings, job documentation, and daily project notes
  • Take required photos and maintain accurate project records
  • Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and safe
  • Train and mentor restoration technicians
  • Assist with quality control and adherence to SERVPRO production standards
  • Maintain communication with Project Managers regarding project status and concerns
  • Follow all SERVPRO safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in the rotating on-call schedule and respond to emergency losses as needed
Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous restoration, construction, mitigation, or leadership experience preferred
  • IICRC certifications preferred but not required
  • Experience leading or supervising employees preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer and smartphone proficiency
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions
  • Ability to safely operate restoration equipment and hand tools
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators when necessary
Work Environment

  • Full-time position supporting restoration projects throughout Rock County and surrounding communities
  • Typical schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Rotating on-call responsibilities for after-hours emergency response
  • Residential, commercial, and industrial job site environments
  • Fast-paced team environment with opportunities for advancement
