OUR ROLE

We are seeking an engaging, professional and highly knowledgeable Restaurants & Signature Events Manager responsible for effectively monitoring the daily operations of the assigned outlets, including the support and guidance of associates to ensure efficient operations and amazing guest experiences. Will oversee and conduct the hotel’s signature events, including Magic Table.

Key accountabilities include:

Consistently provide the highest levels of customer service to guests and associates at all times.

Assist the Food & Beverage Operations Director with developing short and long term financial operational plans for assigned outlets.

Monitor performance through verification and analysis of customer service systems and financial reports.

Ensure the delivery of exceptional service by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit through active communication, training, and coaching.

Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations, investigating guest concerns and implementing corrective action.

Adhere to the budgetary guidelines established for labour, productivity, revenue, and expenses.

Work in conjunction with the Food & Beverage Operations Director and Culinary team on promotions, menus, and special events; creating and innovating new ideas and promotions to generate revenue.

Utilize wine expertise to make recommendations to guests for wine pairings and to the F&B Director of Operations for new product offerings.

Use presentation skills to emcee Magic Table, providing memorable guest dining experiences.

Ensure all service standards created for Magic Table are consistently followed for the highest level of operational readiness and success.

Monitor POS operations and cash handling procedures, coaching for accuracy as needed.

Ensure all administrative functions are performed accurately and on a timely basis, including payroll, and annual performance reviews.

Communicate with customers, addressing complaints and collecting feedback about their experiences.

Ensure VIP guests and special requests are executed at the highest service level.

Complete and monitor F&B scheduling based on forecasted occupancy and booked reservations. Review daily to ensure staffing levels are appropriate for F&B operations.

Take charge during emergencies (fire alarms, medical incidents, security issues).

YOUR STORY

A seasoned professional with a minimum of four years of experience in a food & beverage leadership role, responsible for more than one outlet.

A Hospitality program graduate or degree holder.

Marriott brand experience.

Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to safety.

Someone who has solid leadership skills, adept at training, coaching and motivating a team of service professionals.

An exceptional problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot, resolve situations efficiently, with the ability to shift priorities as needed, including handling customer or associate situations that may occur outside of typical work hours.

Excellent working knowledge of PMS systems, specifically MICROS Opera.

Extensive wine knowledge, with a minimum of WSET Level 1 certification.

Experience leading and hosting signature immersive dining events such as Le Petit Chef and/or Magic Table.

Public speaking and/or dramatic performance skills.

ProServe certified, with a certificate in Alberta Food Safety Basics.

Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

An excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.

Able to combine strategic planning and day-to-day management.

Physically able to stand, sit, walk for extended periods of time.

Physically able to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds without assistance.
