About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is seeking a passionate Restaurant Sous Chef to join our team. Reporting to the Restaurant Chef, the Sous Chef playsavitalroleinensuringthekitchenrunsefficiently,maintaininghigh-qualityfood production, and preparing for successful service, assisting the Head Chef.

What you will do

  • Managingadesignatedareaofthekitchen,andensuringalltasksarecompletedefficiently.

  • Supervisingkitchenstaffandensuringsmoothcommunicationandcollaborationamongteammembers.

  • Workcloselywithstandardrecipesandplatepresentationstomaintainstandardsofqualityin production and presentation.

  • Supportstheheadchefinmenuplanning,kitchenorganization,andoperationaltasks,suchas managing schedules and overseeing food safety practices.

  • Monitoringandmanagingstocklevelsofingredientsandsuppliesfortheirsection,including ordering when necessary.

  • Executingcookingtechniquestopreparemeals,followingrecipesandmenuspecifications.

  • Maintaininghighstandardsofhygieneandcleanlinessinthekitchen.

  • Ensuringthatallequipmentandutensilsareproperlycleanedandstored.

  • Followingallhealthandsafetyprotocolsinthekitchen

  • Workingcollaborativelywithothermembersoftheculinaryteamtoensuresmoothandefficientservice.

What you bring

Education:Cookingschoolorculinaryinstituteeducationrequired

Experience:atleast5yearsofexperienceinaprofessionalkitchen,withatleast1-2yearsina

supervisoryorleadershiprole. Skills and Abilities:

  • Advancedculinaryknowledgeisexpected.

  • Exceptionalorganizationalskillsandtheabilitytomanageseveraldemandingtasksina consistently busy environment.

  • Strongunderstandingoffoodsafetyandsanitationpractices,includingknowledgeoflocalhealthregulations.

  • Strongleadershipandmanagementabilitiestoeffectivelyoverseekitchenstaffandcoordinatetasks.

  • Abilitytoworkefficientlyunderpressure,managetimeeffectively,andprioritizetasksduring busy service periods.

  • Akeeneyeforpresentationandqualitycontroltoensuredishesmeettheoutlet’sstandards.

This is a full-time position
