Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with daily dessert preparation for restaurants, special events, and Club functions
• Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods according to production schedules and recipes
• Maintains all food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with company policy and health regulations
• Prepare and serve items in accordance with established recipe and presentation standards
• Support pastry production for special events, including large-scale functions
• Schedules production of dessert components to maintain an inventory of fresh items for the restaurants at all times
• Sets up, maintains and breaks down workstation and restaurant line
• Notifies Executive Pastry Chef in advance of expected product shortages
• Requisitions supplies as needed to prepare menu items
• Ensures that work area is safe and secure
• Maintains professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times
• Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations

Qualifications and Personal Characteristics

• Texas Food Handler Certified
• Minimum 2 years of pastry experience on a restaurant line
• Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling practices
• Fluent English speaker
• Experience preparing pastries, desserts, breads, or other baked goods in a professional kitchen environment
• Able to take direction from supervisors
• Responds well to suggestions from others
• Able to focus on timing, and organization
• Detail-oriented – you understand that the little things count
• Follows established processes
• Is cool under pressure
• Able to anticipate and act with the Members in mind
• Is a timely and effective communicator to Members and co-workers
