Job Description

You are responsible to lead the overall operations of the Swedish Restaurant and Co-worker restaurant. This entails leading kitchen productions, cashiering, dishwashing, customers experience and dining cleaning services. Collaborating with the team and colleagues in the IKEA Food management team, lead and manage the area to fulfil our function's purpose of building both business and people. Aim to bring smiles to people's faces by providing irresistible food offers in a welcoming atmosphere, giving our guests a compelling reason to return time and again.

  • You ensure our guests are always in focus and strive to make them smile. Meet and serve our guests showing empathy and care. You willing to listen and support them with an attitude based on the IKEA values.
  • Work together with colleagues and manager to contribute actively to the development and implementation of a clear IKEA Food action plan for the store using the store business plan and country business plan.
  • Implement the range matrix (global and national) to secure a strong IKEA Food range identity to distinguish ourselves from our competitors on the market.
  • You co-operate with the Communication & Interior Design department and the Commercial Activity Leader/Local Marketing by actively contributing to and supporting all marketing and in-store activities. You will do this by integrating the Swedish celebrations and yearly focus area into the store’s Commercial Calendar, including the activity range and communication packages.
  • You are a passionate leader who can bring business and people together.
  • Inspired by the IKEA core leadership capabilities and strive to continuously develop as a leader.
  • Co-operation with the Human Resources (HR) department I recruit the team based on the IKEA values.
  • Work actively to make the IKEA store successful and high performing, today and tomorrow. You do this by attracting visitors, achieving sales growth and profitability, ensuring the satisfaction of guests and co-workers, and excellent operational performance as measured through our defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilise relevant reporting tools, such as Cliq Sense, the IKEA Food Main Topic Review, Pulse XC and VOICE, to develop the IKEA business, for yourself, and the team.
  • Ensure that the operations of all IKEA Food areas in the IKEA Store operate in accordance with IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements and other relevant legislation (list relevant legislations applicable by country).

Qualifications

  • You have a solid background in food service management, preferably in a high-volume business, and have passion and strong knowledge in the culinary or food service industry.
  • You are customer-focused, analytical, good in communication, able to lead and collaborate with other.
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced and constantly changing retail environment.
  • You are cost-conscious and know that everything has a price tag.
  • You have proven leadership abilities and can create an environment where the IKEA values are a strong & living reality and is able to motivate, develop and bring out the best in co-workers.
  • Experience in retail and merchandising are essentials.
  • Willing to work on weekends, shift hours and public holidays.
