Overview

Tucked inside the Clock Tower Lodge at the heart of Boyne Mountain Resort, Trophy Room Pizzeria & Pub is one of the resort’s most beloved gathering spots: legendary pizza, cold craft beers, vintage ski décor, and a laid-back energy that keeps guests coming back after every run and every round. We’re looking for a Restaurant Manager who’s ready to own it.This is a role for someone who leads from the front, takes pride in every detail of the operation, and genuinely believes that Developing Great People is just as important as delivering a great guest experience. Everything we do at Boyne Mountain is guided by our core values — L.E.A.D.S.: Long-Term Thinking, Excellence in Execution, Attitude is Everything, Develop Great People, and Serve First. You’ll bring those values to every shift, every team interaction, and every plate that goes out. Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all front of house and back of house operations
  • Develop Great People - Lead, coach, and inspire a team of 20 to 30 front and back of house team members — interviewing and hiring, conducting performance evaluations, motivating staff, and ensuring uncovered shifts are filled through intentional scheduling and clear communication. Your team’s growth is your priority.
  • Excellence in Execution - Oversee all front and back of house operations with precision — monitoring food and beverage quality, presentation, and portion size to maintain consistency and control costs. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the outlet and all equipment, and properly manage purchasing, monthly inventories, and financial reporting with the VP of Food and Beverage.
  • Long-Term Thinking - Develop and evolve the Trophy Room menu in alignment with brand standards, review monthly financial reports to keep expenditures within budget, and make smart, forward-looking operational decisions that protect the long-term reputation of one of Boyne Mountain’s most iconic dining destinations.
  • Serve First - Ensure every guest who walks into Trophy Room has an experience worth coming back for — and that your team is equipped, energized, and ready to deliver it every single day.
  • Attitude is Everything - Set the tone in the restaurant. A high-volume pub and pizzeria demands a leader who stays composed under pressure, keeps the energy positive, and makes the whole operation look effortless even on the busiest nights. Your attitude is contagious — make it count.
  • Promote Trophy Room brand standards consistently across all team members and all aspects of the operation.

Qualifications

This position may be for you if:

  • You have an Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, plus six months to one year of related experience — or an equivalent combination of education and real-world leadership experience.
  • You have previous leadership experience and are comfortable managing a large, diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • You’re proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Point of Sale software and food and beverage inventory management is a strong plus.
  • You’re available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • You lead with positivity and know that a restaurant’s culture is set at the top. You take that responsibility seriously.

Founded in 1948 by Everett Kircher and still owned and led by the Kircher family today, Boyne has always operated on its own terms. Private ownership means we invest for the long run: in our mountains, our communities, and the people who make it all happen. Stephen Kircher serves as CEO, continuing a legacy that began with his father 78 years ago.

Our resorts include Boyne Mountain, The Highlands, The Inn at Bay Harbor, and BOYNE Golf in Michigan; Big Sky Resort in Montana; Sunday River, Sugarloaf, and Pleasant Mountain in Maine; Loon Mountain in New Hampshire; The Summit at Snoqualmie and Alpental in Washington; Brighton Resort in Utah; Cypress Mountain in British Columbia; and Gatlinburg SkyPark in Tennessee.

At Boyne Resorts, you don't just build a career in hospitality; you build one surrounded by skiing, golf, dining, and mountain communities where your work and your life share the same backdrop. We're always looking for people who love the outdoors, believe in service, and want to be part of something built to last.
