YOUR MISSION (The Job Description): The Restaurant Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations of the restaurant. We are looking for a results-driven restaurant manager to meet sales goals by hiring and training competent staff, overseeing kitchen operations, and motivating staff during busy hours. To be successful as a restaurant manager you must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as experience in a restaurant environment. A good Restaurant Manager can multitask and remain calm in stressful situations. Inspire your management team and all Kassi team members to bring their very best to Kassi every day. Qualifications THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties):
  • Ability to professionally address customer complaints
  • Oversees food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards
  • Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience
  • Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner
  • Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations
  • Estimates food and beverage costs
  • Manages inventory and purchases food and supplies
  • Conducts daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards
  • Periodically evaluates restaurant equipment for repairs and maintenance, schedules for service
  • Hires and trains restaurant staff
  • Organizes and oversees the staff schedules
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Oversees hiring, discipline, and termination of employees in accordance with restaurant policy
  • Performs other duties as assigned
WHAT IT TAKES (The Qualities We Look For)

  • Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
MUST HAVE'S
  • Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • 3+ years of hospitality-related experience
  • 2+ years of restaurant manager or leadership experience
  • Current food handler's and TAM cards and other certifications as required by federal/state/local law
  • Familiar with point-of-sale computers and software
  • Comfortable using a computer, navigating Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook Email

THE WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Lift and carry 50 lbs., carry and balance plates, carry kegs, wine and beer cases as necessary
  • Stand for periods of 8-10 hours
  • Communicate clearly in verbal and written English
  • Bend, squat and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organization, and other duties
  • Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, smoke, and sound. Incumbents are at times subject to hazards such as chemicals; proper safety precautions will be taken
  • You may come into contact with pet hair or dander
