Japanese Restaurant Manager (HK / Macau)
- Ensure the smooth daily operation of both Front and Back of House, responsible for delivering superior service, maximizing customer satisfaction, and responding efficiently and accurately to customer feedback.
- Build strong relationships with customers, enhance the restaurant's image, sales, and customer traffic.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure proper service delivery, considering special requests and food allergies.
- Collaborate with the chef on menu development and promotional programs.
- Handle basic administrative tasks, including marketing and human resources-related duties.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, as well as workplace safety regulations, according to statutory requirements and company policy.
- Ensure schedules are created in accordance with business needs and employee well-being.
- Ensure employees have a complete understanding of rules and regulations and that all are adhered to.
- Responsible for acquiring all necessary licenses or permits for the restaurant and ensuring their validity at all times as required by the laws and regulations of the relevant government bodies.
- Oversee the inventory and ordering of equipment and supplies when needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant, including furniture, tableware, the restaurant environment, and employee personal hygiene.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Japanese fine dining or Omakase restaurants, with familiarity in relevant industries.
- Conversational English or Japanese; additional languages preferred (e.g., Mandarin).
- Good leadership, adaptability, and supervision skills, with a willingness to accept challenges.
- Strong team spirit, good at team communication and cooperation.
- Good communication skills and customer service attitude, polite and willing to interact with customers.
- Hard-working, responsible, independent, and proactive.
- Neat and clean appearance with utmost hygienic standards.
- Proficient in general computer software operations such as MS Office.
