At the heart of Regent Santa Monica Beach’s food and beverage program is Orla and Orla Bar, created by James Beard Award-winning chef and restaurateur Michael Mina. Showcasing vibrant Mediterranean and Middle Eastern–inspired cuisine, Orla brings bold flavors, fresh seafood, and elevated hospitality to the Southern California dining scene, drawing inspiration from Mina’s Egyptian heritage and the spirit of coastal markets. Orla Bar complements the restaurant with a refined social atmosphere, featuring expertly crafted cocktails and light bites in an elegant setting at the center of the hotel. Additional dining experiences include Azure Bar, offering sophisticated poolside dining and oceanfront cocktails, and Sweet July Café, developed in collaboration with Ayesha Curry, serving thoughtfully curated coffee, tea, and casual fare. Together, these concepts establish Regent Santa Monica Beach as one of Los Angeles’ premier culinary destinations.

The Restaurant General Manager will oversee all restaurant and bar operations. The ideal candidate will contribute to the planning, organization, and training necessary to achieve the restaurant's objectives in sales, costs, colleague retention, communication and awareness, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, and compliance. The Restaurant General Manager will work with the culinary team to create exceptional dining experiences.

A little bit about your day:

Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, every day is different, but you’ll mostly:

• Promote the Restaurant Group and Regent’s service philosophy and style through our people attributes.
• Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.
• Execute all tasks with efficiency, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Align and oversee training programs for managers and staff.
• Develop, manage, and curate a high-end program consisting of training materials and syllabi for restaurant operations.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with company standards in all training and testing procedures.
• Lead training objectives and strategies, ensuring seamless integration into restaurant operations.
• Support management teams with financial reporting, labor management, inventory control, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure all management personnel are fully trained on operational systems.
• Coordinate recruitment plans, onboarding, and scheduling.
• Foster a culture of excellence, team building, and diversity in all restaurants.
• Participate in meetings, service support, and maintain service excellence at all times.

Requirements:

• Minimum three years of leadership experience in a restaurant management senior role, within a luxury hotel preferred.
• Proven experience in managing a large service staff in an upscale dining environment.
• Experience opening a restaurant is a plus.
• Accreditation in wine and mixology is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and financial acumen, capable of interpreting and presenting financial data.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must have the ability to grip, grasp, and handle objects with ease.
• Must be able to stand and work on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours.
• Must be capable of lifting, moving, or carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally required to kneel, bend, crouch, and climb.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a hotel environment.

What you can expect from us:

The annual pay range for this role is $125,000.00 to $135,000.00 This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at Regent Santa Monica Beach This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s Bonus Plan.
