General

Summary

Under the supervision of the Chef & Sous Chef, this position is responsible for performing proficiently in multiple types of skilled culinary work: such as washing different types of items, general cleaning practices, ensuring that the kitchen is clean and up to health standards etc. This position performs at a high level of expertise in all aspects of general kitchen work; maintains all duties assigned by the food and beverage manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to all local health and safety policies and procedures.
  2. Maintain high standards of food operations.
  3. Provide service to our guests.
  4. Clean dishes in timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  1. Should be at least 16 years of age.
  2. Be able to read and understand English.
  3. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  4. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  5. Must be able to pay attention to detail.
  6. Must be able to work independently for short periods of time.
  7. Must be dependable and punctual with transportation to and from work.
  8. Must have a clean uniform and professional uniform.
  9. Must work well with teammates.

Working Environment/Physical Activities:

  1. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  2. Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.
  3. Must be able to work at indoor and outdoor temperatures, with extreme heat & cold.
  4. Environmental conditions encountered will include noise, fumes, odors, and dust.

Education/

Experience:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Minimum 1 year experience in the restaurant industry preferred.
  3. Food service license preferred.

Hyland Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District, established in 1955, has the honor of being the first park and recreation district in the State of Colorado.
