Located inside the Renaissance Shoals Resort & Spa, Swampers Bar & Grille is a favorite gathering place for hotel guests, local residents, and live music enthusiasts alike. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, Southern-inspired cuisine, and outstanding service, Swampers delivers memorable dining experiences every day.

We're seeking a talented, hands-on Restaurant Chef to lead the daily operations of our restaurant kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary leader who enjoys coaching teams, maintaining exceptional food quality, and creating an outstanding guest experience in a high-volume restaurant.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, presentation, and efficient execution during every service.
• Coach, mentor, and develop culinary associates while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Food & Beverage leadership to enhance the guest experience, support menu innovation, and maintain the highest culinary standards.
• Manage purchasing, inventory, scheduling, food cost, labor, and waste to achieve operational and financial goals.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations while maintaining Marriott brand standards throughout the kitchen.

The Ideal Candidate

• Culinary leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, resort, or upscale dining environment, with previous supervisory experience required.
• Proven ability to lead and develop kitchen teams while maintaining exceptional food quality, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, inventory management, purchasing, labor planning, and cost controls.
• Creative, organized, and hands-on leadership style with a passion for mentoring associates and delivering memorable dining experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
