This is a part-time Restaurant Assistant Manager position working 3-4 days per week with flexible scheduling. You'll help manage a 120-seat operation, lead 10-15 employees, and support day-to-day execution in a restaurant that can reach approximately 250 covers during busier service periods.

About the Role

The Assistant Manager will help oversee daily restaurant operations, support employees during service, maintain standards, and keep shifts organized and running smoothly.

This is a hands-on management position. You should be comfortable working alongside the team, communicating clearly, solving problems as they happen, and maintaining consistent execution during both regular and higher-volume services.

About the Restaurant

This is an established 120-seat casual restaurant in Philadelphia with an energetic, flexible working environment and an experienced staff.

Service volume varies throughout the week, with busier periods reaching approximately 250 covers. The operation uses Toast POS and is easily accessible by public transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Help oversee daily restaurant operations
  • Lead and support a team of approximately 10-15 employees

  • Assist with opening, closing, and shift responsibilities
  • Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards

Qualifications

  • Approximately 2 years of relevant restaurant experience preferred
  • Restaurant management, supervisory, or shift leadership experience preferred
  • Strong food safety knowledge
  • Experience with employee scheduling
  • Comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment
  • Friendly and able to work well with others
  • Able to follow written recipes, procedures, and instructions
  • Able to work in a standing position throughout the shift
  • English communication skills
