The Opportunity

As a Responsible AI Senior Associate you will advise on privacy laws and data protection regulations, helping clients navigate a changing legal landscape and implement privacy policies, data protection measures, and privacy impact assessments that support responsible use of personal information within our Cyber, Data & Tech Risk practice. As a Senior Associate you will analyze complex issues, build meaningful client connections, mentor junior team members, and develop your technical skills while delivering work that aligns with professional and technical standards. In this role at PwC, you will support internal stakeholders and clients across industries by interpreting requirements, applying legal judgment, and contributing to solutions that address privacy and data risk considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting Responsible AI principles and regulatory requirements into concrete business, process, data, and technology controls.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, policies, playbooks, briefing materials, and other client-ready deliverables.
  • Evaluate AI use cases and systems across risk dimensions such as fairness, transparency, privacy, safety, human oversight, accountability, and third-party risk.
  • Work with business, legal, compliance, risk, data, technology, cybersecurity, and AI/ML teams to support practical adoption of governance requirements
  • Advising internal stakeholders and clients on privacy laws, data protection regulations, and responsible AI requirements.
  • Conducting privacy impact assessments and documenting findings to support privacy program development and risk control activities
  • Reviewing policies, procedures, and legal documents to identify data handling gaps and update control requirements
  • Translating complex technical concepts into practical guidance for business teams and client service engagements
  • Interpreting regulatory changes and assessing how new privacy, data protection, and AI requirements affect ongoing workstreams
  • Applying legal research and analysis skills to support responses to privacy questions, incidents, and regulatory inquiries
  • Collaborating across technical, cybersecurity, and technology functions to align data protection measures with business needs
  • Supporting data breach investigations, records management policies, and legal data protection activities through detailed fact finding
  • Guiding junior team members on assigned tasks, reviewing deliverables, and sharing practical feedback to improve work output

What You Must Have

  • At least a Bachelor's degree
  • At least 3 years of experience

-Preferred Relevant certifications in AI, risk management, privacy, or digital governance (e.g., AIGP, CIPM, NIST AI RMF training).

What Sets You Apart

  • Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Analytics/Data Science, Business Administration/Management, Communications/Media, Computer Science/Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Government/Public Policy, Law/Legal Studies, Mathematics/Statistics, Project/Technology Management, Risk Management/Insurance, Marketing.
  • Possess 3-5 years of professional experience in consulting, technology, risk, compliance, policy, data, or related roles, ideally with exposure to AI or emerging technologies.
  • Experience with technical literacy in AI/ML and GenAI to understand system architectures, model capabilities and limitations, evaluation evidence, and associated risk implications.
  • Experience designing AI governance operating models, policies, risk-tiering approaches, control frameworks, or AI lifecycle processes.

-Familiarity with AI system documentation such as model cards, system cards, risk assessments, impact assessments, and conformity assessments.

  • Experience applying AI governance, cybersecurity, or information risk coursework
  • Interpreting data to inform privacy, risk, or legal insights
  • Communicating across diverse perspectives in client service settings
  • Navigating ambiguity while developing personal growth and technical skills
  • Experience designing AI governance operating models, policies, risk-tiering approaches, control frameworks, or AI lifecycle processes.
  • Familiarity with data science, machine learning, software development, or technical architecture concepts; hands-on coding, and phython skills required.

Job Posting End Date

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $202,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
