This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic respite provider to support a child who enjoys being active, spending time outdoors, and going for long walks and runs.

The ideal provider will genuinely enjoy being outside and participating in activities alongside the child. This position requires someone who is attentive, patient, and comfortable providing close supervision while helping create a safe and enjoyable environment.

Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week

Pay: $14.13/hour + $0.76 per mile when the child is in the vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Participate in activities the child enjoys, including long walks, running, and spending time outdoors.
  • Provide close supervision and maintain awareness of the child's surroundings.
  • Be attentive to sensory sensitivities.
  • Support communications and choices using a choice board.
  • Be willing to learn and appropriately use a G-Button.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum
  • Comfortable working with a child who has sensory sensitivities
  • Comfortable being active and participating in outdoor activities, including long walks and runs.
  • Able to provide close supervision and remain attentive to the child's needs and surroundings.
  • Willingness to learn how to use a G-button.
