This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

A loving family is seeking a reliable and compassionate respite caregiver for their nearly toddler son. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with little kids and is looking for a consistent, low-hour opportunity to support a family during occasional date nights.

Location: Chippewa Falls (Family Home)
Compensation $10.60/Hr
Schedule: Flexible scheduling planned in advance with family, alternating weekends preferred, Friday and/or Saturday evenings around 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Up to 8 hours per month to start)

About the Child
The child has special needs; however, his day-to-day care needs are very similar to those of a typically developing older baby/young toddler. He enjoys age-appropriate play, routines, and interactions and thrives with attentive, nurturing care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive supervision and ensure a safe environment
  • Engage in age-appropriate play and activities
  • Assist with feeding, diaper changes, and bedtime routines as needed
  • Communicate with parents regarding the child's evenings and any concerns

Ideal Candidate
  • Experience caring for infants and/or toddlers
  • Patient, dependable, and nurturing
  • Comfortable caring for a child with special needs (training and guidance will be provided as needed)
  • Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable around family pets

Why This Role Matters
We are looking for someone who can become a trusted part of the family's support system and provide quality care while parents enjoy occasional evenings out.
