GENERAL SUMMARY
Works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Respiratory Therapy. The Respiratory Therapy Support Tech's primary job function is to perform support duties for the Respiratory department such as maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies, verifying proper functioning and safety checks of respiratory equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required
• Currently enrolled or a graduate of a CoARC-approved program in Respiratory Care preferred.
Licensure:
• Ohio Medical Board RCP III license within 2 years of graduation required, if applicable.
Experience:
• Work and/or educational experience that promoted group/ team working relations is preferred.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Completes all cleaning procedures, assembly and safety checks on all Respiratory equipment including documentation of safety checks.
2. Notifies Assistant Manager/Lead/Manager of equipment issues.
3. Stocks all patient/department areas with disposable supplies as needed.
4. Orders supplies from the warehouse.
5. Notifies Assistant Manager/Lead/Manager of low special order stock items.
6. Cleans and organizes Respiratory storage areas.
7. Other duties as assigned.
