We are seeking a 12-month Tenure-Track or Clinical-Track Assistant/Associate Professor who will serve as Program Director of the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT) program
This hybrid position is a 100% appointment, with 60% faculty effort and 40% administrative effort. Faculty members in CHS have a weekly on-campus presence expectation. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the continued development and growth of a high-quality accredited respiratory therapy program that prepares graduates for professional practice and licensure.
The Respiratory Therapy Program Director is responsible for participating in the administration, organization, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the Respiratory Therapy program. The role is designed to align with CoARC accreditation standards while supporting the development of faculty leadership capacity within a collaborative departmental structure. The Program Director role is designed to support assistant-level faculty. The successful candidate will work closely with the Department Director and the administrative team and will receive guidance in program administration, accreditation processes, and leadership development.

Maintain personal scholarship according to the College of Health Sciences (CHS) scholarship requirements for clinical-track faculty. Clinical-track faculty are required to have an active research agenda and may achieve this by working with other faculty. Scholarly work is expected to make a contribution to, and an impact on, the profession/field/discipline, to interdisciplinary areas, and/or to pedagogical endeavors.
Service
All CHS faculty members are expected to provide service to the University, college, department, profession, and the community. Consistent with the mission of CHS and the University, professional service contributions to the Flint and regional community are valued as well as national and international contributions. Engagement in service activities at multiple levels is required. The quality and impact of service contributions are more important than the number of different service activities.

Modes of Work
Hybrid
The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
