Are you a Registered Respiratory Therapist with a passion for education and professional development? Home of the Innocents is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Educator to lead clinical training and competency development for our respiratory care team at the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center, our pediatric skilled nursing facility for medically complex children and young adults.
In this role, you won't just train team members, you'll shape a culture of clinical excellence, build meaningful academic partnerships, and serve as the expert voice for respiratory education across the organization. If you're an RRT who loves teaching as much as clinical care, this is a role built for you.
A Day in the Life
Every day, you're the bridge between clinical expertise and team readiness. You'll design and deliver hands-on training, facilitate skills labs, onboard new respiratory staff, and partner with department leadership to ensure every team member is prepared to care for our medically complex residents. You'll manage the our Simulation Lab, coordinate the training calendar, champion the learning management system, and collaborate with college and university partners to support student clinical rotations. On any given day you might be running a vent management in-service, coaching a Skills Validator, or developing a new competency module, all in service of the children and young adults who depend on our team's expertise.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM). Primarily day shift with flexible scheduling to support multi-shift training needs. Occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as required. On-site at Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center, with occasional community or partner site travel.
