Supervision of staff therapists and Special Diagnostics technicians in all patient care areas. Responsible for daily operation of all phases of work in the Special Diagnostics Department following applicable policies and procedures of the Department, Medical Center, and guidelines of regulatory agencies. (ACHA, JC). Assures standards of care are followed. Responsible for scheduling shift assignments, assists Director/Manager with in- service education programs for staff, physicians, and nursing personnel. Participates in data collection for statistical and quality improvement reports. Provides direct patient care 75 % of time.
EDUCATION:
Minimum: Associate's Degree - Graduate of an AMA respiratory therapist program.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE:
3 years RRT critical care experience, Prefer two (2) years supervision/ management experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
Current Florida RRT license, ACLS/PALS/BLS
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills in cardiopulmonary diagnostics preferred.
