Compensation & Pay Options

  • Starting wage: $43.00–$46.75/hr (experience + shift‑based)

A Day in the Life as an RT

  • Conduct respiratory assessments, oxygen therapy evaluations, and pulse ox monitoring
  • Manage ventilator patients, complete vent checks, and support weaning/decannulation
  • Perform respiratory treatments (nebs, CPAP/BiPAP, airway clearance, etc.)
  • Document assessments, consults, and care plans accurately and promptly
  • Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing and leadership
  • Ensure respiratory equipment is properly maintained, stored, and compliant
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning
  • Support facility staff with education, in‑services, and clinical guidance

Qualifications

  • CRT or RRT credentials; graduate of AMA‑approved respiratory program
  • Active Respiratory Care Practitioner license (state of Ohio)
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Vent certification preferred
  • One year of experience preferred; long‑term care experience a bonus
  • New grads encouraged to apply — mentorship available
