Respiratory Therapist (RT)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our healthcare team. This role focuses on providing exceptional care and treatment to patients requiring respiratory therapy. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing respiratory care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments to evaluate the type and extent of respiratory disorders.
• Develop and implement care plans based on patient needs, working closely with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about managing respiratory conditions, including proper use of equipment and medications.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting all treatments and patient progress.
• Ensure all respiratory therapy equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in respiratory care through ongoing education and training.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) with a current state license.
• Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in acute care.
• Strong understanding of respiratory therapy techniques, equipment, and medications.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and support patients and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
