
Respiratory Care Pulmonary Technician RRT- Full Time, Days

Demonstrates a solid knowledge and working proficiency in the skills of Respiratory Care practices, procedures and techniques and is responsible for the patients that are assigned to his/her care within the practices of Respiratory Care. Demonstrates clinical expertise to complete high quality pulmonary function and bronchoprovocation studies. Performs Arterial Blood Gases (puncture and analysis), and serves as resource to staff and physicians in the blood gas and pulmonary function laboratory. Responsible to manage the PFT and Blood Gas Laboratory to meet all governing and credentialing quality assurance and quality control standards described by the following agencies: ATS, CAP, CLIA ’88, NCCLS, OSHA, STATE and other accrediting or regulatory groups. Demonstrates a solid knowledge and working proficiency in the skills of Respiratory Care practices, procedures and techniques and is responsible for the patients that are assigned to his/her care within the practices of Respiratory Care.
Requirements:
Associate's degree/successful completion of accredited program for Respiratory Care.
NBRC Certification Required (RRT).
Active Kentucky Respiratory Care Practitioner License Required through the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care (KBRC).
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) due within 1 week one hire and prior to providing direct patient care.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) due within 6 months of hire.
Registered or certified pulmonary function credentials within 2 years of hire.
Limited permit/student respiratory license experience preferred.
