This role is to float throughout the system for all RRT needs in the Puget Sound Area. Hospitals that are included will be Auburn Medical Center, Covington Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Tacoma General Hospital, Allenmore Hospital and Capital Medical Center.
ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS IN OCED (Off Campus Emergency Department)
Assists the Registered Nurse or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in providing a variety of patient cares/treatments as directed within their scope of practice.
Performs direct patient care activities independently in accordance with MHS policies, and procedures within the WAC RCP scope of practice.
· Examples of duties:
Assist providers with procedures
Rooming of patients in ED to include Vital signs and documentation
EKG
IV starts and lab draws at request of provider/RN staff
Phlebotomy at request of provider/RN staff
Patient and family education as requested
FTE: 0.9, Shift: Variable, Schedule: Variable
The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the delivery of skilled respiratory care modalities and interventions to designated patient populations with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities, which requires the use of advanced practitioner skills to intervene in complex patient care situations. This position requires specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapy and treatment objectives, and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient. This position operates independently, under limited supervision. Internal contacts include patient care staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, outside health care providers, and other organizations.

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $41.44 - $68.50 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
