Job Description

Performs all aspects of the scope of practice of a respiratory therapist and where applicable cardiopulmonary scope of practice. Scope of practice includes but is not limited to diagnostic and metabolic testing patient assessment treatment planning and therapeutic interventions analysis and reporting of clinical response. Therapists work in collaboration with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to support efficient cost effective and quality patient and family care as well as providing patient and family education and discharge planning. The position supports system facility and department growth and quality through participation in performance improvement activities continuing education and professional growth and development activities along with other duties as assigned.
