Job Description

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced and compassionate Respiratory Care Practitioner to join the 2 South Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital in Spokane, Washington In this critical care role, you will provide advanced respiratory therapy to adult ICU patients requiring complex respiratory support, including ventilator management, airway interventions, and emergency respiratory care.

As an integral member of the multidisciplinary critical care team, you'll collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists to deliver evidence-based respiratory treatment that improves patient outcomes during some of the most critical moments of care. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of $66,000 – $107,000 annually, along with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible external candidates and rehires who meet the required qualifications and payment conditions.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Completion of the required education or training necessary to meet certification, licensure, or registration requirements.

  • Active Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.

  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.

  • Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and respiratory care skills.

  • Ability to provide advanced respiratory therapy in a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous experience in an Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), or emergency care environment.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

  • Experience managing mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, arterial blood gas interpretation, and advanced airway management.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and critical care documentation.

  • Commitment to evidence-based respiratory care and continuous professional development.
