The Respiratory Care Practitioner I is a licensed professional who provides respiratory therapy services in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center. The Respiratory Care Practitioner I collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.

Must be able to cope with seriously ill patients of all age groups. Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment. Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must be able to fulfill the basic functions of the position. Must be able to learn and incorporate the mission statement and standards of behavior associated with Enloe Medical Center.

In 1913, Dr. Newton Thomas Enloe opened Enloe Hospital. Located in downtown Chico, California, it had 25 patient beds, three doctors and five nurses. Now, more than 100 years after its founding, Enloe has transformed into Enloe Health.
