Due to growth, we are looking for a commercially minded Resource Planning Manager to establish and lead a newly created function that will transform how we plan, deploy and develop our workforce across Field Service, Engineering and Project Delivery.


This is far more than resource scheduling, this role will become the central point of truth for workforce capability, capacity, utilisation and future talent requirements across Australia. The successful candidate will partner closely with operational leaders to ensure the right people, skills and capabilities are available at the right time to support business growth, project delivery excellence and customer outcomes.

Key Duties:

  • Design and implement a best-practice Resource Management and Workforce Planning function across Australia.
  • Develop short, medium and long-term workforce plans aligned to business growth strategies.
  • Forecast future workforce demand and proactively identify capability and capacity gaps.
  • Identifying opportunities to leverage workforce planning technology, automation, AI and advanced analytics to create data-driven insights.
  • Provide strategic recommendations relating to hiring, succession planning, workforce development and capability building.

  • Partner with Service, Engineering and Project leaders to optimise workforce allocation across competing priorities.
  • Develop workforce planning dashboards, metrics and reporting frameworks.
  • Provide analysis and insights relating to utilisation, productivity, workforce trends, project demand and capability gaps.
  • Influence decision-making across multiple business functions and operational teams.
  • Evaluate and improve existing planning processes and operating models.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning, Capacity Planning or a related discipline.
  • Experience within Field Service, Engineering, Technical Services, Industrial, Infrastructure, Construction or project-based environments.
  • Demonstrated success designing, implementing or enhancing workforce planning frameworks and operating models.
  • Experience using workforce planning, scheduling, ERP or CRM systems such as SAP, Salesforce or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
