An exciting opportunity has arisen for an information co-ordinator to join our Resource Management team.
To protect and save life, property, and the environment by being responsible for the administration and quality assurance of Essex County Fire & Rescue Service’s (ECFRS) Resource Management Unit (RMU) operational availability data. Your role will be to assist in the administrative day to day functions within the department which will include liaising with staff on fire stations, Control, and other stakeholders, managing databases, Fire Service Rota, and actioning emails to ensure a timely response to data requests and the accuracy of information provided.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of administrative, statistical systems and procedures relating to resource management. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a proven track record of analysing and interpreting information to solve problems.
Your attention to detail will be supported by good written and communication skills along with strong IT skills in Office 365 functions.

Stage 1
Application & shortlisting (assessment of your supporting statement will be made against the essential criteria) 16th October 2026
Stage 2
Interview: The interview will probe your skills and experience, related to the performance of the role, as well as your values, ethics, and behaviours.
Practical assessment: An assessment to enable you to demonstrate how you are able to work with Microsoft excel.
Interviews are currently planned 20th or 21st October 2026
Assessments will be made against positive indicators taken from the Code of Ethics and the NFCC Leadership Framework.
