In this meaningful, patient-facing role, you’ll help ensure that individuals and families facing cancer feel informed, supported, and cared for every step of the way.
You’ll be part of a team dedicated to enhancing the patient experience by connecting people with trusted information, compassionate support, and helpful services. Working across the Resource Center and Elevate Salon, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring patients have access to the tools and resources they need to navigate their cancer journey with confidence. The hourly pay range for this position is $25.38 - $32.30.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll balance daily operations, volunteer leadership, and patient support. Your work will directly impact how patients and families experience care.
Help oversee daily operations of the Resource Center and Elevate Salon
Train, guide, and support volunteers to deliver a warm and helpful experience
Connect patients and families with reliable, easy-to-understand cancer information
Offer compassionate support and help individuals navigate available services
Partner with teams to create and update patient education materials
Contribute to programs that improve quality of life for patients through education and outreach
Support organization-wide initiatives focused on patient experience and engagement

Required Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Development, Education, Communications or a related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a health or education field; or
2. Associate’s degree in a health-related field, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Development, Education, Communications or a related field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in a health or education related field; or
3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in a health or education related field.
NOTE: Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
