Job Description

A luxury resort on the island of Canouan is seeking an accomplished Resort Manager to lead day-to-day operations across all departments. This is a senior leadership role for a hospitality professional who thrives in a remote, high-touch environment and brings a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all resort operations including rooms, F&B, spa, recreation, and guest services, ensuring seamless delivery across departments.
• Partner with department heads to set and maintain service standards consistent with a luxury brand positioning.
• Drive financial performance through P&L ownership, cost control, forecasting, and revenue strategy.
• Lead, develop, and retain a talented on-property team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owner relations, representing property priorities and reporting on operational performance.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements applicable to the property and island jurisdiction.
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement to support operational continuity in a remote island setting.
• Champion the guest experience at every touchpoint, personally engaging with VIP guests and resolving escalations with poise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of progressive hospitality leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior operations role at a luxury or ultra-luxury property.
• Demonstrated success managing multi-department resort operations, ideally in a remote or island destination context.
• Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience managing budgets and reporting directly to ownership or a board.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust with owners, guests, and team alike.
• Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in a resource-constrained environment.
• International work experience and familiarity with Caribbean hospitality markets preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field; advanced degree a plus.

Compensation

• USD $120,000 base salary, accommodation and all utilities included, and relocation support provided.
