Resort Concierge

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Concierge In this role, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming first impression of Kalahari Resorts. You’ll provide current information about the resort, local areas, attractions and events as well as greeting guests, assisting with questions, and providing recommendations.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll [1–2 sentences on how this specific role contributes to the guest/associate experience].

Pay Rate - $16 - $18/Hr.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow associates.
  • Provide information and assist guests concerning restaurants, theater/musical productions, airlines, automobile rentals, transportation directions, office services, beauty/barber establishments, and other appropriate services, and render reservations for such. When appropriate, make it a priority to recommend in-house services first before sending them to outside vendors for the same service.
  • Maintain a current listing of local and area attractions, special events, activities, transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, etc.
  • Provide hours of operations for all restaurants, lounges and shops within the resort.
  • Provide information, maps and directions as required.
  • Be familiar with all in-house groups and activities.
  • Maintain lobby reader boards.
  • Maintain all property brochure racks, order and restock when necessary.
  • Knowledge of all emergency procedures and the ability to assist and/or respond accordingly.
  • Provide personalized phone calls to VIP's and other designated guests welcoming them to the resort.
  • Communicate all daily functions and their location in the hotel in order to assist and direct guests.
  • Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments within the resort.

What We’re Looking For 

  • We do require a high school diploma or equivalent and/or at least one year of progressive experience in a hotel, resort or customer service-related field.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Computer experience is required.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the area and be able to give directions clearly.
  • Must be proficient in Windows software, and copy, fax, and telephone equipment.
  • A customer service background is preferred.
