Job Shift First

The Truck Driver role provides receipt and delivery of resin to plant locations. This role reports to the Quality Control or Materials Supervisor/Manager based on the location.

Accountabilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver and unload resin within accordance with all Prinsco guidelines and DOT regulations, maintaining a focus on safety.
  • Follow DOT 60/7 hours of service regulations and logbooks per DOT requirements.
  • Conduct a pre-inspection DOT check of tractor and trailer daily, notifying dispatch of non- compliance.
  • Conduct pre-inspection of loaded materials.
  • Confirm that conditions are safe for unloading materials.
  • Clean the equipment daily.
  • Present yourself in a clean appearance, polite and courteous manner promoting mission statement and Prinsco’s core values.
  • Conduct a post-delivery inspection of equipment immediately upon return, documenting and informing management of any defects or issues.
  • Report any accidents, near misses or moving violations to management immediately.
  • Focus on cross-training, continuous learning and improvement.
  • Participate and support the Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.



Qualifications



Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required with a minimum of one year of interstate trucking experience required.
  • Ability to pass the Prinsco road test.
  • Maintain a current CDL and clean driving record with a medical card for interstate and intrastate transportation.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of all DOT and state requirements for interstate trucking.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as maps, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, including the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including internal and external communications.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to achieve forklift certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds consistently, 50 pounds 1/3 of the day, & 75 pounds less than 1/3 of the day.
  • Using hands and reaching with hands/arms for over 2/3 of the workday.
  • Standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling for over 2/3 of the workday.
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate colors.
  • Ability to work in a production environment that is not temperature controlled and occasionally in varying outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a loud noise environment.
