Purpose of the role
To build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, using hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms as required with the aim of ensuring that the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure. Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of the systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.

Step into the role of Resilience Recovery Engineer - Infrastructure, working alongside CTO Platform Engineering. In this role, you will design, engineer, and test technologies that enable our cyber recovery capabilities, working closely with GTIS delivery teams and end users to translate business requirements into secure, scalable infrastructure solutions. You'll provide subject matter expertise for complex recovery scenarios, drive automation initiatives, and lead transformation across technology and ways of working. Operating in our engineering lab environment, you'll rapidly prototype new technologies, collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and mentor team members on modern DevOps and infrastructure best practices.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role such as:
Have experience in Windows or Linux at an advanced level.
Be able to diagnose Windows or Linux kernel level bugs and issues.
Have advanced knowledge of Windows or Linux storage IO subsystems.
Be able to create IaaC using Python.
Desirable skills sets:
Ansible.
Chef.
Kubernetes.
Backup / Recovery.
