Role: Residential Support Worker.

Salary: £13.45 an hour

Location:  Bath, Somerset, Southwest England.

Contract/Hours: CASUAL hours to suit your work/life balance!

 A bit about the role 

Our Residential Support Workers create a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to grow and develop. You will ensure their wellbeing is prioritised by delivering personalised care, guidance, and advocacy. It is key that they stay safe and healthy  and can reach their full potential.

We are a 5-bedroom short breaks home to 8- to 18-year-old children with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or complex needs.

How you'll help to create brighter futures 

We are now seeking a Residential Support Worker to help us maintain the high standards of care and personal development our young people have come to expect. We are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to join our supportive team! These are excellent opportunities to support activities and sessions providing quality care for children in need. You will achieve this by:

Getting involved in lots of fun activities both within the project and out in the community.
Assisting with personal care and daily routines of the young people.
Supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.
Safeguarding young people.
Helping coach young people to develop essential life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and money matters.

Whether you're an experienced Residential Support Worker or looking to build on transferable skills from a caring and supportive role, it's your values, resilience, and commitment to improving young people's lives that matter most to us.

Experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting is highly desirable, as it provides a strong foundation for the role. However, if you are passionate about creating brighter futures, have the right attitude, and are ready to learn, we would still love to hear from you.

This could be the perfect opportunity to make a real difference every day.

Ideally you will: 

Understand how to engage with young people.  
Have a positive approach and ‘can do' attitude.  
Ability to work on your own or as part of a team.  
Be ready to complete a level 3 in Residential Childcare within 2 years of commencing employment with us, full support will be provided.
