About the service

Short Breaks at West Hyde is a provision for children and young people with a wide variety of additional needs including learning difficulties, complex behaviour, and complex health needs, between the ages of 5 and 18 years old. The primary aim is for those who visit to have fun, enjoy themselves and make friends in a safe environment where they feel comfortable and valued whilst we offer them the same opportunities that other children their age may have.

West Hyde has an Ofsted rating of ‘Good' and is always striving for ‘Outstanding'.

You will build bonds with children and support them with day-to-day personal needs and promoting their independence. Working within a team you will help to maintain our fun and nurturing environment.

This is an exciting, challenging and rewarding role with the opportunity to make a huge personal impact.

The successful applicant will have a real opportunity to work as part of a well-established thriving team, who will improve the outcomes of children and young people by providing safe, stable, and loving homes for them to live and thrive in.

The service is near Rickmansworth, and has a very limited bus service, so a car driver is preferred.
