Job Description

Continuum of Colorado has an opportunity to be our next Residential Supervisor As our Residential Supervisor of Host Homes, you’ll get to oversee the day-to-day operations of a group of independent contractor Host Home providers in our residential department, assuring quality care is provided to the individuals residing in the homes.

The residents of these homes have been diagnosed with an intellectual and/or developmental disability and receive support from us in their residential setting, so loving working with people is an absolute must for this position! Folks with a background or experience in social services are highly encouraged to apply.

We’re committed to a great work-life balance here, so you’ll get to work full-time at 36 hrs/week with a 4-day work week!

Requirements

  • Two (2) years supervisory or management experience, preferably in developmental disabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate at all levels with managers, subordinates, individuals in services and others
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Work flexible hours, as needed
  • Ability to split time evenly between the sites
  • Ability to be on a rotating on-call schedule
  • Meet the physical demands of the position including the ability to push and secure wheelchairs and assist in transfers
  • Valid Colorado driver's license and proof of auto insurance
  • Meet our driving requirements - no suspensions/revocations and no more than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years

Preferred

  • Associate Degree and/or at least two (2) years advanced study at an accredited college or university
  • Working knowledge of the I/DD system, rules, and regulations

Additional Responsibilities

  • Oversee independent contractor activities to ensure the needs of people in services are being appropriately addressed and documented
  • Train new independent contractors on duties and responsibilities
  • Coach employees, through modeling and training, to implement Person Centered Thinking strategies
  • Ensure independent contractors follow regulations for service delivery
  • Assure relevant day-to-day and emergency information is communicated to facilities, families, and/or involved agencies and their respective staff
  • Assure services and supports are delivered as directed by the individual in services’ individual plan; develop and maintain case files
  • Manage and coordinate resolution of individual in services crises and identifies/resolves individual in services/family concerns
