To safely collect residential refuse throughout the City while driving a large commercial truck (over 26,000 pounds GVWR) as part of a two-man collection crew under the direction of a Solid Waste Crew Chief and Solid Waste Supervisor. To clean, maintain and perform minor repairs on issued truck.

General supervision is provided by the Solid Waste Supervisor and Solid Waste Crew Chief.
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
No experience is required; however, continuous heavy lifting will be required while performing the three-hour on-the-job assessment if chosen to continue in the selection process.
Must have a Class-C driver’s license.
Must be able to possess a valid Class-B CDL with an air brake endorsement before the end of your six-month probationary period.
Failure to obtain a Class-B CDL driver's license with an air brake endorsement within six months of employment will result in non-disciplinary termination.
