The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral and psychiatric support needs.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate people to join our staff supporting our Mission. This position plays a vital role in the care, security and enhancing the quality of life and well-being of the people we support.

Job Duties:

  • Trains and guides individuals in routine and elementary self-help skills such as good hygiene, good housekeeping, money management and other activities providing personal and social growth, ensuring that people use their environment.
  • Assists individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and oral hygiene. Assistance may include lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • May accompany individuals to activities outside of PSSC, such as Church, recreational activities or doctor’s appointments, ensuring that people interact with others.
  • Observes behavior and health of people and reports sudden or unusual changes to higher authority.
  • Prevents or stops disturbances through approved facility policies and procedures.
  • Along with other staff, cleans living area and washes, dries and folds residents’ clothing and linens to maintain proper living environment for the people.
  • Ensures that individuals’ records are maintained with current and precise documentation in accordance with applicable regulations, standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain appropriate communication with supervisor and with coworkers to reinforce and enhance skills necessary for adaptation and productivity.
  • Reports accidents/incidents and suspected cases of abuse or neglect immediately to supervisor, investigation unit and client rights, ensuring that people are safe.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Administrator to support the Agency and/or the people we serve.


Position-Specific Details:

Location: Pinecrest Supports and Services Center - Residential Services
Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Probation, Promotion, Demotion, Lateral Transfer or Detail to Special Duty.

Shift: Day A - 7:45 am - 8:15 pm
Day B - 7:45 am - 8:15 pm
Night A - 7:45 pm - 8:15 am
Night B - 7:45 pm - 8:15 am

Special Entrance Rate:
Residential Services Specialist 1: $12.15 hourly - $18.00 hourly
Residential Services Specialist 2: $13.00 hourly - $19.26 hourly

This position may receive shift differential, longevity pay, and Premium Pay.

As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Residential Services Specialist 1, or 2 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant. The maximum salary for the Residential Services Specialist 2 is $40,061.00.
