What You’ll Be Doing
You will be responsible for implementing life skills trainings for youth, as well as behavioral plans, treatment plan objectives and recreational activities as designed by the Multidisciplinary Team (Program Director, Clinician, Life Skills Coach, and Case Manager). The Residential Services Program Manager will provide leadership to Residential Counselors, ensuring duties and responsibilities are carried out in a supportive and professional manner. 

Hybrid Role, 20% Remote Work. 

Your Main Priorities
While additional responsibilities are likely to arise on the job, you will primarily:
•    Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Enhanced Semi-Independent Living residential intervention Program for youth ages 16-20.
•    Organize activities with youth with structured community engagement. 
•    Coordinate referrals and intakes with state agency personnel and participate in in intake meetings as necessary. 
•    Participate in the Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) model for youth with extensive trauma backgrounds.
•    Oversee the operational, financial, and administrative operations of the residential intervention program to meet the needs of the youth. 
•    Manage staffing for the program.
•    Ensure the home is equipped with basic needs including food, household items, and hygiene products for the youth.
•    Provide leadership to Residential Counselors, ensuring duties and responsibilities are carried out in a supportive and professional manner. 
•    Facilitate regular meetings with staff and youth. 
•    Build relationships with DCYF, community partners, parents, etc., relevant to client needs. 
•    Manage crisis situations and coach Residential Counselors to manage crises using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI). 
•    Ensure client records are maintained in accordance with the Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) policies and procedures. 
•    Works with the Director of Residential Programs to Ensure the program adheres to all regulatory standards as set by DCYF, Office of the Child Advocate, Disability Rights of Rhode Island, The Council on Accreditation, and any other entity in which there is regulatory oversight.
•    May transport youth by agency vehicle in accordance with state and agency transportation policies. 
•    Participate in discharge and aftercare planning for clients. 
•    On call as needed. 

Who You Are
Requirements, Skills & Abilities:
•       Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required. 
•       Minimum 5 years’ experience working in residential programs, with at least 2 of those years being in a supervisory role required. 
•    Strong organizational, critical thinking, and time-management skills.
•    Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
•    Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population.
•    Collaboration and teamwork. 
•    Leadership. 
•    Must authorize Child & Family to complete a motor vehicle records check. 
•    Must authorize Child & Family to complete a motor vehicle records check. 
•    The ideal candidate will be required to meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position. 

Physical Requirements
Direct Service Staff:
This position requires time sitting, standing, walking, driving, carrying and lifting up to 25lbs. This role also requires operating desktop, laptop and/or cell phone, and communicating with colleagues.
