Residential Roofing Project Manager

Location: Santa Maria, CA

Base Salary: $90,000 + Performance Bonus

About the Opportunity

An established and growing roofing contractor is seeking an experienced Residential Roofing Project Manager to oversee residential re-roof installation projects throughout the Santa Maria market.

This is a hands-on production management role responsible for ensuring roofing projects move efficiently from initial scheduling through final completion. The Project Manager will coordinate roofing crews, order materials, manage project schedules, communicate with homeowners, monitor jobsite quality and safety, and ensure each project is completed on time and according to company standards.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of roofing or construction project management experience, understands the residential re-roof process from start to finish, and is comfortable managing multiple active projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee residential re-roof installation projects from scheduling through final completion
• Coordinate and manage roofing crews, subcontractors, and installation schedules
• Ensure crews have the proper materials, equipment, and project information prior to starting each job
• Order roofing materials and coordinate deliveries to jobsites
• Review project scopes, measurements, material requirements, and installation specifications
• Manage multiple active roofing projects while maintaining project timelines
• Conduct jobsite visits to monitor progress, workmanship, cleanliness, and overall quality
• Ensure projects are completed according to manufacturer specifications, building codes, and company standards
• Communicate project schedules, updates, changes, and expectations with homeowners
• Address homeowner concerns and resolve project-related issues in a timely and professional manner
• Coordinate with sales, operations, suppliers, office staff, and field crews throughout the project
• Manage change orders, supplemental work, and unexpected jobsite conditions
• Track project progress and maintain accurate documentation within the company's CRM
• Ensure completed projects are properly closed out and all outstanding items are addressed
• Monitor crew performance and help maintain accountability for productivity and quality
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal team members
• Promote and enforce company safety standards across all jobsites

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of roofing, construction, or related project management experience required
• Strong knowledge of residential roofing and re-roof installation processes
• Experience managing roofing crews and subcontractors
• Strong understanding of roofing materials, ordering, scheduling, and jobsite logistics
• Ability to manage multiple projects and installation crews simultaneously
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent homeowner/customer communication skills
• Comfortable working in both office and field environments
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions quickly in the field
• Experience working with CRM and project management systems required
• ServiceTitan experience is highly preferred but not required
• Comfortable using computers, mobile applications, and digital project documentation
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
