
Position Function:
Under the general direction of the Director of Programs and Initiatives, the Residential Programs Intake Specialist is responsible for screening and assessing all client referrals for appropriateness into each program. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date tracking of justified denials and matches to programs.
Requirements:
Education bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology or a related field required. A master’s degree is preferred.
Experience Minimum of one year of documented full-time work experience in residential care, a child placing agency, or related work in a clinical setting.
Key Expectations/Responsibilities
Working Conditions:
Residential Programs operate 24/7; this role will involve after-hour support for emergency referral reviews. The position requires schedule flexibility and resilience to effectively manage the pace of the work and the emotional complexity of client histories.
Exposure to Confidential Information:
This position has access to sensitive personnel and client information and must maintain confidentiality in accordance with agency policies and legal requirements.
