Job Highlights:

The Residential Director must be a Qualified Professional (10A NCAC 27G .0104) with one of the following combinations of education and experience:

  • Bachelor degree (non Human Services) with 4 years full time experience with the population served required

  • Bachelor degree (Human Services) with 2 years full time experience with the population served required

  • Master degree (Human Services) with 1 year full time experience with the population served required

SIGN ON BONUS: $2,000 ($500 at 3 months; $500 at 6months; $1000 at 12 months)

This Opportunity:

The primary responsibility of the Residential Director is to lead Monarch’s residential services in supporting, educating, and empowering people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and mental health to choose and achieve what is important to them.

What You'll Do:

• Responsible for major clinical and administrative responsibilities delegated by the VP of Operations as it pertains to behavioral, emotional, and medical issues associated with individuals with developmental disabilities/mental illness.
• Responsible for the overall financial stability of assigned programs. Regularly review, analyze and make adjustments as needed for program sustainability.
• Develops, plans, organizes, implements, and coordinates operations in a manner that promotes growth and achievement for individuals supported, staff, agency, community, and all other stakeholders.
• Work with Quality Assurance Department to ensure the quality of programs, regulatory compliance, complaint resolution and use of best practices.
• Develop and present training related to residential services and operations, ensuring staff meet regulatory training timeframes.
• Maintain positive working relationships within the communities served, including individuals, families, staff, monitoring and licensing agencies, organizations, funders, funding sources and other stakeholders.
• Report and share information with the Chief Operations Officer to ensure he/she is kept fully informed on the condition of the organization and important factors influencing it. Prepare high quality written reports which succinctly identify organizational outcomes.
• Sets quantifiable goals, monitors work output, and evaluates results to ensure that departmental and organizational objective and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization.
• Maintain trainings as required and requested
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations
• Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures
• Complete all other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
• Driving and travel may be required

Education We're Looking For:

Minimum of a Bachelor Degree (dependent upon experience) (Required)

Certifications We're Looking For:

Drivers License (Valid) - USA, Qualified Professional (QP) - Monarch-DSM

Experience We're Looking For:

Experience overseeing residential operations, budgets, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations | 3 years | Not Required
Experience
working directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential, community, or day program settings | 5 years | Not Required
Experience
working in a residential care or group home setting with individuals receiving behavioral health, developmental disability, or long-term care services | 3 years | Not Required
Experience
working with children or adults (dependent upon population served) with a mental health diagnosis or an intellectual/developmental disability | 1-4 years (Dependent Upon Education - see Job Description) | Required
Management
Experience | 5 years | Not Required

Schedule:

Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) with availability after hours, weekends, and holidays.
