A prestigious, therapeutic, residential school for boys aged 10-17 with learning disabilities and emotional challenges is seeking Residential Counselors/Instructors. Located near Charlottesville, Virginia, and close to the Blue Ridge Mountains, the school is renowned for its nurturing approach and history of helping students achieve personal growth.
The Residential Program is designed to offer students a supportive environment to learn and practice interpersonal and life skills. Counselors/Instructors play a critical role in fostering therapeutic relationships, teaching Social Thinking skills, organizing leisure activities, and providing life space counseling. The role demands an individual who is engaging, organized, detail-oriented, physically active, and skilled in interpersonal communication.
