The Moorings at Lewes is seeking a Per Diem Residential Companion to join our team!

The Moorings at Lewes is a Springpoint Senior Living Community located in Lewes, DE. At Springpoint, our Residential Companion provides companionship and assistance to residents as directed by the Director of Resident Services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents as directed
• Be aware of residents’ individual needs and act in ways that foster independence and dignity
• Engage residents in activities such as reading, writing letters, walks, games, or other one-on-one interactions
• Assist residents by reminding, initiating, and supervising activities of daily living as appropriate
• Complete light household tasks such as laundry when assigned
• Communicate with the supervisor or nursing staff before visiting residents for any special instructions and follow all directives given by nursing or administrative staff
• Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
• Adhere to community policies and procedures, including resident rights, safety protocols, and employee conduct standards
• Attend required in-service trainings and staff meetings

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous experience working with seniors or in a companion role is desired
