We’re hiring – Residential Care Practitioner

Mpower is a well-established, accredited not-for-profit supporting individuals and families across South West Victoria. For 50 years, we’ve delivered high-quality, person-centred services that empower people to thrive.

We are currently seeking a Residential Care Practitioner to join our Disability and Accommodation Services (DAS) team in Warrnambool.

About the role

This is a hands-on, practice-based role supporting young people and participants across Mpower’s residential services. You’ll play a key role in providing case management, coordinating supports, and working alongside support workers to achieve positive outcomes for clients with complex needs.

You will primarily work across residential homes, with time spent in the DAS office as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Case management and care planning for clients in residential settings
  • Leading and contributing to care team meetings
  • Coordinating supports with families, Child Protection and external services
  • Providing guidance and support to residential support workers
  • Contributing to quality, safety and continuous improvement
  • Participating in an after-hours on-call roster

About you

You will bring experience in residential care, disability, or community services and be confident working with young people with complex needs.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Community Services, or a related qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in residential care, case work, or similar roles
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A calm, proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • A commitment to child safety and trauma-informed practice
