Job Description

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, full-time, Residential Aide to join our team!

Hours:
  • Full-time
  • Monday - OFF
  • Tuesday - OFF
  • Wednesday - OFF
  • Thursday - OFF
  • Friday - 12:00am - 8:00am - (overnight shift) 
  • Saturday - 4:00pm - 12:00am & 12:00am - 8:00am - (double shift with an overnight shift) 
  • Sunday - 4:00pm - 12:00am 

Responsibilities include:
  • Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift. 
  • Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property. 
  • Ensures daily program / schedule is being followed. 
  • Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc. 
  • Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing their prescribed or over the counter medications. 
  • Monitor & observe urinalysis as needed / scheduled. 
  • Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors. 
  • Keeps all program staff members informed of all clients current challenges or behavioral issues. 
  • Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner. 
  • Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled. 
  • Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments. 
  • Ability to deescalate. 
  • Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff. 
  • Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times. 

Qualifications include:
  • Ability to observe, identify, document, & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern. 
  • Understands the field of addiction, mental health, & recovery. 
  • Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus. 
  • Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.
