
Residential Advisor (RA) – 2027
Residential Advisors are key student leaders who help foster a safe, inclusive and connected community at Ormond College.
Working closely with the Dean of Student Community, RAs are visible and approachable members of College life, supporting student wellbeing, inclusion and engagement. They build positive relationships with students, provide an initial point of support and referral, and help create a positive and respectful College culture.
In this role, you will:
RAs are expected to maintain an active presence in College life, including attending one Formal Hall dinner per week, approximately 6–8 College events per semester, and occasional Monday evenings during semester.

We are recruiting for up to nine positions for 2027.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and third-year Ormond students in 2027. Positions are primarily available to residential students; however, up to one non-residential student may be appointed.
Successful applicants will also need to hold or obtain an RSA, First Aid certificate and Employee Working with Children Check, and complete the College's required GBV declaration.
Employment type: Part-time, fixed-term
Period: 6 February – 30 October 2027
Hours: 8 hours per week, with additional hours in February for training and Orientation Week
Salary: $33.04 per hour
Reports to: Dean of Student Community
